MindNode was first released in 2008. On this page you can find an overview of MindNode’s history, including download links for legacy versions so you can retain access to your purchases.
If you purchased the apps from the App Store or Mac App Store you can also reinstall them directly from the App Store. Under your Account, locate the Purchased section. Scroll down the list until you find the version of MindNode you purchased.
Mac
MindNode Pro (2008 - 2015)
MindNode Pro was the first paid version of MindNode. It was initially sold through our website and later on the Mac App Store.
Payment Model: Paid upfront. The purchase was only for the Mac version.

MindNode 2 (2015-2017)
MindNode 2 was our first paid upgrade of MindNode.
Payment Model: Paid upfront with no discounts for MindNode Pro customers (we only offered a “Plus Pack” with additional themes and stickers. The purchase was only for the Mac version.

MindNode 5 (2017) & MindNode 6 (2019)
We skipped MindNode 3 and MindNode 4 on macOS and moved directly to MindNode 5 to unify the version number with the iOS app.
Payment Model: Free Document Viewer with In-App Purchase to unlock full version. The IAP is no longer on sale, but still unlocks the current version of MindNode Classic. The unlock was only for the Mac version.
MindNode 7 (2020) & MindNode 2020.5 - 2023.8.1
Free update for all MindNode 5 and later customers.
Payment Model: MindNode Plus subscription that unlocks MindNode on all devices. All existing one-time purchases continue to unlock existing features. Only major features released since Mid 2020 require a subscription.

MindNode Classic (2024 - today)
With the release of MindNode Next, we added Classic to the name for better differentiation. Free update for all MindNode 5 and later customers.
Payment Model: MindNode Plus subscription that unlocks MindNode on all devices, including MindNode Next.
