With MindNode 2025.6, we're bringing Apple's new design language, playful details, and deep Apple Intelligence integration to your brainstorming sessions. These updates come to Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro — making MindNode feel more fluid, capable, and delightful than ever.

Liquid Glass

With its 2026 operating system updates, Apple is introducing a new design language called Liquid Glass. MindNode fully embraces this change with a refreshed interface that feels light, fluid, and modern across Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

We've made several noticeable refinements across the app: a more context-aware Inspector on Mac, improved labels in the sidebar, a more polished Sticker Picker, and an update App Icon.

Apple took iPadOS a big step forward this year by introducing true windowing and a full-featured menu bar. MindNode is ready — it runs seamlessly in a window and takes full advantage of the new multitasking system. Speaking of menus, both on Mac and iPad, the menus now features icons, making navigation faster and more visual.

Details matter, and you'll notice playful new animations, especially in our AI-powered brainstorming and summarizing features. On iPhone, transitions like creating a new theme or moving a document into a folder now feel smoother and more natural.

And to make navigating your ideas even easier, the Outline search bar on iOS has moved to the bottom of the screen, putting it right where your thumb is.

AI Brainstorming

Kickstart a new document with a suggested structure, or expand existing content with a single tap in the action menu. Our favorite use for this feature is to create a basic structure before starting a brainstorming session.

Generate Text & Summarize

Turn your mind map or outline into an article, or summarize long documents directly from the document browser.

Image Background Removal

Instantly clean up images by removing backgrounds. The feature works best with a clear subject and also works great for images created with Image Playgrounds.

All of these features are private, fast, and run entirely on your device. We understand if you never want to see any AI features, so we added a toggle in MindNode's Settings to completely remove them. The setting is only visible if your devices has Apple Intelligence enabled.

MindNode Classic

We haven't forgotten about MindNode Classic. A smaller-scope Liquid Glass update is already in the works and will ship next month. If you are interested in our feature adoption of Classic features, check out our dedicated roadmap.

Beginning with this release, we will start to refer to MindNode Next as simply MindNode. In an upcoming release, we will also update the name of the app.
