Revisit, Connect, and Focus — What’s New in MindNode 2026.2
Ideas rarely follow a straight line. They branch out, circle back, and sometimes lead somewhere unexpected. This update is about supporting that natural flow giving you better ways to revisit earlier thoughts, connect ideas across documents, and stay focused on what matters.
Revisit Your Thinking with Document History
With the new Document History browser on Mac, you can go back to earlier versions of your documents and rediscover how your thinking evolved. Bring back individual ideas or restore an entire document, whatever fits your process.
Document History is currently available for personal documents on Mac. Support for collaboration documents and other platforms will follow.
Focus on What Matters
With Tasks Highlight, you can visually emphasize all tasks in your mind map at once. Instead of scanning your entire document, you instantly see what’s actionable. It works similar to Tag Highlight: everything that isn’t a task fades into the background, helping you focus on what needs to be done.
Connect Across Documents
With improved Document Linking, you can create connections between your mind maps directly from the link panel without breaking your flow. Whether you’re organizing projects or exploring related thoughts, linking helps you build a network instead of a collection. With inline previews, you can see where a link leads before opening it, keeping you oriented as you navigate.
Give Your Notes More Room
With Enhanced Notes, it’s now easier to structure and refine your thinking with improved text formatting on Mac and iPad. On Mac, a persistent notes sidebar keeps everything within reach so you can move between ideas and details without losing momentum.
Small Improvements, Everywhere
Alongside these changes, we’ve made a number of smaller improvements throughout the app:
- A new app icon inspired by Apple’s Creator Studio icons
- Drag stickers and images directly into the outline
- Improved VoiceOver support on Apple Watch
MindNode 2026.2 is now available on the App Store and Setapp. Check out our release notes for all changes.
