MindNode Classic is our previous version of MindNode. It's currently available alongside MindNode Next, as we're working on a feature-complete version of MindNode Next.

What version should I pick?
New User
We highly recommend that new users pick MindNode Next. Only if you need one of the features that are not yet part of MindNode Next yet, we suggest looking into Classic. Please note that all the new major features will be exclusive to MindNode Next.
Existing User
For existing users, we recommend using both versions simultaneously. Use Next for your new projects and Classic for your existing projects. This way, you can slowly get to know Next and can start considering moving all your projects over.
What is the difference between MindNode Classic and MindNode Next?
MindNode Next is optimized for seamless syncing of documents between platforms, collaboration, and features a modernized foundation that will support many upcoming features. Documents are managed directly in the app and stored locally in a database. They are synced using iCloud between your devices.
MindNode Classic stores all documents as files on disk. You can manage them independently of MindNode and choose a syncing service of your preference. Unfortunately, depending on the files, this means we can't support seamless sync, collaboration, and several other features like a deep Apple Shortcuts integration.
Syncing documents between MindNode Classic and MindNode Next:
No. Since MindNode Classic and MindNode Next are built on very different core foundations, syncing documents between these versions is, unfortunately, not possible.
You can, however, import MindNode Classic documents into MindNode Next and vice versa (with not all features being supported).
