MindNode Pro 1.2 Sneak Peek
I’m currently working on the next major release of MindNode Pro. Version 1.2 will bring one major new feature and several other additions to the application.
Cross Connections
Cross Connections allow the user to visualize a connection between any two nodes on the canvas. This is by far the most requested feature so far and I’m happy to finally bring this feature to my application.
Fullscreen Mode
Focus is critical when brain storming and sometimes even the smallest things can break concentration. MindNode Pro 1.2 will bring a fullscreen mode that will enable a clean and distraction free environment.
Context Menus
With version 1.2, MindNode Pro will allow the user to access important functionally directly via a context sensitive menu. This feature will also start to appear in the freeware version later this year.
To be announced
There is one additional feature I’m currently working on. I’m not sure if it will be ready in time so I don’t want to talk about it at the moment.

MindNode Pro will be a free upgrade for all MindNode Pro users. My current plan is to release version 1.2 sometime in April.

Yeah, these features looks really good! A features I miss is the possibility to add a “description” to a node
An iPhone / iPod Touch version of MindNode (Pro) would be very appreciated to clear my idea “on the go”. Including synchronisation and compatibility with the Mac version of course.
Thank you!

Dear Olivier.
Thank you for your comment. I would love to add some kind of annotation feature for nodes in a future release, but I don’t want to promise to much at the moment.
I’m working on an iPhone version, but I keep delaying it’s release. I’m planning to make a public announcement sometime in April.
Cheers!
Markus

Finally! Cross-connections. Thank you, thank you. Yeah, an iPhone version of Mindnode Pro would be nice. :)

An iPhone app that syncs to this with the same functionality would literally be the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

Can’t wait for V 1.2. Ditto on the iPhone version

Looks nice.
Will cross-connections be output in OPML some way?
Thanks

Dear Giacomo,
As far as I know the opml format doesn’t support cross connections. If you have other information please contact me via mail, because I’d love to add it.
At the moment I support connection export and import from FreeMind and I’m planning to add export for the HTML format.
Cheers!

I suspect you’re right. Just dreaming, I guess!
Thanks

Dear Giacomo,
If you come across an application that supports this in their OPML output please let me know. I’m curious, are you using the OPML export and with what application?
Cheers!

Servus Markus!
I am new to MindNode. So far have used exported OPML with CircusPonies Notebook and also with Mellel. Works great.
I was intrigued by the idea of cross-connections, but I couldn’t imagine how they might be exported to OPML. One day someone will figure it out ;-)
Thanks for a fine program. I look forward to following its development.
