MindNode 1.0.1 beta 3 (456)
New in this build:
- (New) RTF Export
- (New) New node attributes related to node title handling. They are made persistant and exposed in the inspector.

I’ll probably move the canvas background attributed to a new tab in a future release.

I just discovered your software yesterday, this really is the best mindmapping tool available! We have used NovaMind before, but it got way to complicated and slow.
MindNode does what mind mapping software should do: Let the brain do the work and keep the mapping clean and easy!
I will definitly use this for all of my future mindmaps! Thank you very much!

I don’t agree. The best and one of the simplest is FreeMind (also free).
But i must admit that MindNode is quite pretty.
- One thing that is very annoying is that new nodes are added alternately below and above current node. In this way I can’t create lists of items 1.. 2.. 3..
- ‘Plus sign’ next to node is usually used (in mind mapping software) for folding not creating new nodes.
- Zoom In, Zoom out shortcuts are wierd.
Keep workin’ :)

Thank you for your feedback.
New Nodes: This is something a lot of people don’t seem to like. I’ll update it in a future version.
Plus sign: I realize that sometimes it’s the best to stick with standards - this is why I’m updating the shortcuts in the next release - but I think the (+) works great in my application as a way to create new nodes. I’ll bring folding to my application, but it will work a bit differently than in other apps.
Zoom-Shortcuts: Those are the same shortcuts Apple is using in it’s software.

Amazingly awesome software. Just recommended it my friends. It’s good for jotting down tasks, which I admit iCal and Mail don’t do so well for me. Hmm…what was I going to recommend… oh yes! The scrollbar. Could you make the scrollbar hidden at first? Then when moving the first node to a corner/side it appears? Right when I downloaded it I was resizing it so I wouldn’t see the scrollbar. Thanks for the app!

I agree, the current solution is not perfect. I’m planning to improve the canvas sizing code and I’ll make sure to also take care of this issue.
