Known-Issues
- When editing the node title of a node with subnodes, undo doesn’t work correctly.
Release Notes:
- (New) FreeMind Export
- (New) Spellchecking and Grammer-Checking Support
- (New) Drag canvas when pressing space.
- (New) Left-aligned nodes grow to the left side.
- (New) When editing the title of a node, all subnodes reposition accordingly.
- (Update) Additional undo action names.
- (Update) Pressing ESC while dragging a node out of the node well (rounded plus sign) will cancel this operation.
- (Update) The canvas is accepting click-through events for all actions.
- (Update) Removed localization for language currently not support from the sparkle software update. This saves about 3 MB of disk space.
- (Fix) “Zoom In” shortcut mapping corrected.
- (Fix) When an inspector color well is active, the node stroke color won’t be set by the color panel.
- (Fix) Deleting nodes by pressing delete forward on the keyboard.
- (Fix) Scroll to node when moving a node before entering edit mode.

Important Notice: Due to popular demand, I updated the keyboard mapping in this release. You can find a detailed overview of the current mapping in the help menu.
Release Notes:
- (New) Improved keyboard mapping.
- (New) Cycle root nodes.
- (New) RTF Export
- (New) Canvas auto scrolls when nodes grow too large during text input.
- (Update) Major update to the way Spotlight meta data is handled (values are committed correctly, it’s possible to undo changes and the document is marked as edited).
- (Update) I’m starting to use Undo action names.
- (Update) When changing the selection with the keyboard, the canvas will scroll to display the new selection.
- (Update) Default document icon.
- (Update) Root nodes are no longer created on top of each other.
- (Fix) ESC aborts title editing and restores original node title.
- (Fix) Root Node dash style is drawn correctly.

UPDATE: MindNode 1.0.1 (468) had a little bug that prevented the deletion of nodes via the keyboard.

It’s very interesting to see how much time can be spent redefining and improving the keyboard shortcuts to offer the best interaction experience possible. I think I finally finalized the keyboard mapping. To get 1.0.1 release as soon as possible I removed some of the functionality present in the last beta. My current plan is to release MindNode 1.0.1 over the weekend.
MindNode 1.0.1 beta 4 offers several bug fixes and the following two updates to the keyboard mapping:
- Enter Edit Mode: Option+Return or simply start typen when only one node is selected (or all selected nodes have the same parent).
- Create Child Node: Command+Return

Due to the server problems I experienced yesterday, I’ll be moving my webspace to a new hosting provider. This move won’t be noticeable by users of my site, but comments will be deactivated during this time.
Update: Successfully moved to the new server. Everything seems to work fine.

New in this build:
- (New) RTF Export
- (New) New node attributes related to node title handling. They are made persistant and exposed in the inspector.
I’ll probably move the canvas background attributed to a new tab in a future release.

This new beta build features an entire rewrite of the way node titles are handled and drawn.
