Anyone home?

November 13, 2005 at 10:51 pm

I just realized that I haven’t updated my website for over two months - sorry for that.

First of all I would like to announce that Eva Ganglbauer created three great ICs for us. They are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License. So basically you are allowed to RIP (download the project files onto your computer), MIX (play around with them and add additional content) and BURN (upload them onto your webserver) them, as long as you include this license.

- brian & sara by Eva Ganglbauer
- marc about infinite canvas by Eva Ganglbauer
- brian’s & marc’s comic by Eva Ganglbauer

Unrelated stuff:
The Flash version detection, sometimes doesn’t work. In some cases, it redirected to alternate.html although an up to date Flash version is installed. This happens especially when you are on a very slow internet connection. I recommend that you don’t use this detection and directly link to content.html and not index.html.

There is currently no active development of the IC app going on. I’d love to experiment a bit with Ajax and see if it would be possible to implement an Infinite Canvas Web 2.0 Viewer, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do this before the holiday season. Meanwhile I’m still writing my final thesis, well to be honst it’s an infinite thesis, at last this is my feeling right know …………..

    Hey, Markus.
    We’re still Hanging in there.

Work on new comics is going slow since the baby but it’s going. Thanks for checking in with us.

Just found IC through a friend’s link to Tym Godek’s Everybody Loves Chris Ware.

I wanted to say IC is a very cool app, and a leave quick note that your “google tracker start/end” comments are showing in Camino/Firefox on the top of each page because they aren’t inside the script tags. (Safari is apparently OK with this.)

Very cool use of technology to open a new way to make comics!

…and I just noticed that Tym was the commenter above me — har! Nice work Tym.

    Hello,
Thanks for letting me know. I had that in the header so it’s strange that firefox used it to build the site. I updated the html file.

    Thank you,
    Markus
